A Brooklyn organization is making high schoolers' dreams come true by providing them with free prom dresses.
Operation Prom is helping girls who might normally not be able to attend prom get a chance to celebrate their proms in style. Some 250 girls from Brooklyn high schools got to choose from 1,000 dresses, shoes and purses. Boys received suits and bowties.
Organizers says the students must be doing well in school in order to participate. They say that just because they cannot afford to attend prom, does not mean they should not get the chance to.
This is the third year the event is being held.
