Another Long Island family tells News 12 they have been waiting for more than 10 days for their lost luggage to return after a trip to Europe.
The Levines recently took the vacation of a lifetime to Florence and Tuscany flying Delta/Air France. When they returned Saturday to John F. Kennedy Interntional Airport, their luggage didn’t.
The Levines' five suitcases are stuck at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris.
The Levines did put an AirTag in two of their suitcases. From their phone, they can see at least one of them sitting at the airport.
Travel experts say worker strikes, heavy travel volume and work slowdowns have clogged up baggage areas at airports around the world.
“It’s a two-week trip, so we pretty much brought our entire summer wardrobe, a lot of new things. It was a special vacation for us. It was regular stuff and all our toiletries,” says Sharon Levine.
The Levines have made several calls to Air France to find out about their suitcases but have not been able to reach anyone yet.
