A group of parents is demanding that the city take action to save their children's Williamsburg learning center.
The future is unclear for nearly 50 kids who attend the Bushwick United Early Learning Center, which is facing a Dec. 31 eviction.
Parents claim the landlord sold the building to a buyer who wants to build condos in place of the school, which could force its children to move to a facility in Bushwick. They want city agencies to either step in and keep the property available, or help them find another suitable location in the same neighborhood.
The Administration for Children Services released a statement saying in part, "ACS is actively working with City Hall, local elected officials and other city agencies to resolve the question of where the children served at this location will continue to receive early care and education services."
News 12 reached out to the landlord for comment, but has not yet heard back.
