Parents ‘heartbroken’ as Woodlawn Pediatrics announces closure

Parents say they can walk to this pediatrician and that they don’t know what they’ll do if they have to travel on public transportation with young kids to another doctor.

Parents rallied in Woodlawn Friday after learning that Woodlawn Pediatrics will be closing its doors. 
Boston Children’s Hospital, which runs Woodlawn Pediatrics, tells News 12 the office will be closing on April 30. 
Boston Children’s Hospital released a statement saying, “We remain committed to this tight-knit community. Our patient families will still have the opportunity to access care within our network of pediatricians just a few minutes away in several locations."
Parents say they can walk to this pediatrician and that they don’t know what they’ll do if they have to travel on public transportation with young kids to another doctor.
The community has a petition with nearly 1,000 signatures to save Woodlawn Pediatrics.
