Cleanup is underway after flames broke out inside a Park Slope temple.
It started in the basement of the Aaron Levy Memorial Chapel on Garfield Place and 8th Avenue early Wednesday.
According to investigators, electrical panels caught fire in a room used to store swimming supplies for the basement pool.
Firefighters say they immediately shut off the power, and were able to put out the flames quickly. There is damage, but the police chief says he considers it to be minor.
The temple's school was canceled for the day, but is expected to be open again Thursday.
