Parks Department worker rescues cat stuck under Coney Island boardwalk

A Brooklyn feline is free after getting itself stuck under the boardwalk in Coney Island.  News 12 captured the scene as a Parks Department employee came to the rescue between 29th and 30th streets.

A Brooklyn feline is free after getting itself stuck under the boardwalk in Coney Island. 
News 12 captured the scene as a Parks Department employee came to the rescue between 29th and 30th streets. 
Concerned residents had called for help after hearing the cat's meows from underneath the wooden boards. Some claim it had been trapped for several days. 
The city employee was able to pry up one of the planks in order for the cat to run out.
