The city of Paterson announced Friday that its Art Week celebration will start Aug. 22 and will be at the Fabian Theater and Lou Costello Park this year.
There will be daily events showcasing all kinds of art including film, poetry and culinary arts.
"When you are trying to relax, what are you doing? You are going to watch a movie - that's art. You're going to listen to music - that's art. You're going to look at paintings - that's art. And so, we want to celebrate what artists bring to our lives and encourage young folks to pursue their ideas and passions about art as well," said Paterson poet laureate Talena Queen.
The celebration will end Aug. 28 with a children's theater hour, mural painting and movie screening.
