About 300 people gathered for a peaceful rally at Grand Army Plaza Friday to hold Shabbat and raise their voices in support Palestine.
The organization Jewish Voice for Peace said they organized the Shabbat rally.
Many of the demonstrators said they are against an apartheid state, and marched right down the street to Sen. Charles Schumer’s home.
They said they purposely marched in front of Schumer’s home because they said they no longer want the U.S. government to fund Israel.
