The animal advocacy group PETA is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for leaving an abused dog to die on the side of a Brooklyn road.
PETA says the dog, named Saint Vincent after being rescued, was found with his mouth taped shut and inside a garbage bag around Pennsylvania Avenue near the Jackie Robinson Parkway in Brooklyn's East New York section. An NYPD officer made the discovery
last week.
PETA has hung posters and flyers around the site where Saint Vincent was found.
PETA says it's important to get the flyers up as quickly as possible because whoever left the dog to die lacks empathy and could be capable of doing something worse.
