The red 2025 Ford truck crashed just before 4:30 p.m. Monday and was seen blocked off with caution tape on the sidewalk near Church Avenue and 5th Street.

Witnesses tell News 12 the driver’s gas pedal got stuck before the truck went out of control, slamming into a car parked on the street and then striking the fruit stand.

According to fire officials, one person was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County.

Witnesses say the person hurt was an elderly man who was a passenger inside the truck.

The extent of his injuries is currently unknown.
