One Brooklyn mom has found a place that makes navigating the world of autism much less overwhelming.
Stacey Nankoo, of Canarsie, turns to My Time Inc. for resources, information and support with other moms in the same situation while raising her 14-year-old son Christopher.
Nankoo says that when first facing her son's disability more than 11 years ago, she didn't know what to do or where to go. Then she discovered a place that could give her the tools needed to expose Christopher to a variety of helpful activities.
My Time Inc. was started seven years ago by Luncina Clarke, who has a background in behavior analysis, as a way to empower parents through support and autism education.
