A squirrel with an unusual taste for New York pizza has captured the attention of thousands.

The New York City Parks Department recently posted a video on social media showcasing the furry critter munching on a slice of pizza at Shore Road Park in Brooklyn.

This pizza-loving squirrel isn’t the only critter in the city with a taste for fast food.

It brings to mind the famous "Pizza Rat" - a subway rat who made headlines over 10 years ago after a video went viral showing it dragging a slice of pizza down the stairs.

Signs throughout parks, like Shore Road Park, are posted with reminders not to feed the animals, as doing so can create long-term issues.
