Here’s what you need to know:
- It’s chilly and mostly sunny this morning with temperatures in the mid- to upper-40s.
- Today will be cool, partly sunny and seasonable with highs in the upper-50s, low-60s.
- Temperatures will be milder for Election Day with a mix of sun and clouds.
- We have another week with no significant rainfall in sight. However, temperatures will be warmer than normal in the mid-60s to upper 70s. Record highs are possible by Wednesday afternoon. A cold front will move into our area Wednesday night into Thursday, cooling down temperatures and bringing breezy conditions.

- WATCHING THE TROPICS: There are three areas of interest in the Atlantic that have a chance of development in the next 7 days. Subtropical Storm Patty will continue to move East in the Northern Atlantic not posing any threat to the U.S. Potential Tropical Cyclone 18 will become a tropical storm later today and pass near Jamaica tonight into Tuesday bringing flooding rain and high winds. Another area of concern for tropical storm conditions are the Florida Keys. It will likely become a hurricane by the midweek impacting the Cayman Islands and portions of Cuba. This system is expected to head into the gulf coast later this week and spread heavy rain into Florida/ Southeast.
