Milder and brighter today with highs in the 70s for The Bronx

Here’s what you need to know:
  • It's a cool and crisp start to the day under a mostly sunny sky. Temperatures are in the mid to upper 50s.
  • Today will be a pleasant Fall-like day with lots of sunshine and temperatures in the mid-70s.
  • After a rainy weekend, it stays mainly dry through this weekend. High temperatures will be in the 70s to near 80 degrees. Low temperatures will be in the 50s to low 60s.
  • Our next chance of rain is on Wednesday. A storm system offshore will come close to the coast Tuesday night into Wednesday bringing a chance of sprinkles/showers. Stay tuned for updates.
  • Over the weekend, we received 1-2 inches of rainfall across the city bringing in a surplus of rainfall so far this month. The latest drought monitor comes out on Thursday. We'll continue to watch if there are any improvements.
  • TRACKING THE TROPICS: There are no tropical waves in the Atlantic over the next 7 days. A large plume of Saharan dust moving off the coast of Africa weakened a tropical wave in the Atlantic over the weekend. The peak of hurricane season is still this week. Stay tuned for updates!
