Police say an 11-year-old girl was found dead Sunday morning in her East New York home.
According to police, Alejandra Vazquez was found with cuts and bruises on her face and body when emergency officials arrived at 26-83 Atlantic Ave.
Emergency responders told that child abuse is suspected. Police began questioning Vazquez?s mother and stepfather Sunday.
Neighbors say the child's family has not lived in the home very long, and the landlord of the building claims he did not see anything suspicious when he visited the family's apartment on Thursday.
Vazquez's siblings, a teenage girl and a younger boy, were taken to Kings County Hospital after their sister was found dead. The Administration for Children Services says it is investigating the case.
Police say no arrests have been made.
