Police are searching for a teen behind a knifepoint robbery in Sunset Park over the weekend.
The NYPD says a 16-year-old was waiting inside on the northbound R subway platform Sunday morning when an unknown man came up to him and took out a knife.
Investigators say that while displaying the knife, the suspect, seen in surveillance photo, demanded that the 16-year-old victim hand over his belongings.
The victim turned over his wallet to the suspect and that's when police say he left the subway station.
Detectives tell News 12 multiple transactions have been made on the victim’s credit card adding up to around $90.
Police say no arrests have been made.
The suspect is described as a man between the age of 16 and 18 years old.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
