Police say two people were injured in a shooting at a Brownsville liquor store Friday night.
The shooting happened at The Ville Wines and Liquor on Mother Gaston Boulevard at around 11:15 p.m.
Authorities say two men entered the back of the establishment and opened fire. A 19-year-old man was shot in the back of the head and a 20-year-old woman was struck in the ankle.
Officials say the male victim is in critical condition. The female victim is in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.
The store owner told authorities that one of his customers could have been the target.
Police say that it is unclear if the incident was a robbery attempt, and they are still seeking the suspects.
