Police: 29-year-old man killed in police-involved shooting in Washington Heights

A 29-year-old man was killed in a police-involved shooting early Sunday morning in Washington Heights, the NYPD says.
Police say officers from the 34th Precinct observed what appeared to be a fight at Nagle Avenue and Dyckman Street around 3 a.m.
That’s when police say they saw the 29-year-old with a gun and demanded he drop it. At some point, four officers discharged their weapons, wounding the man. He was restrained and taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A firearm was recovered at the scene.
Another man was grazed during the gunfire. No officers were injured. The circumstances surrounding why police fired their weapons remains unclear and is being investigated, police say.
The 29-year-old was on parole. His name was not immediately released.
