The NYPD is searching for three people wanted in connection to two attempted bank robberies in the borough.
Police say the suspects broke into the Citibank on Utica Avenue early Wednesday morning. They say the group pried open the back door before attempting to break open the cash compartments of the tellers' stations. They were unsuccessful and left empty handed.
The next day, police say the suspects broke into the M&T Bank on Atlantic Avenue and once again tried to get into the teller's area. The suspects fled, without any money, after an alarm sounded.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
