Police are searching for three men they say could be responsible for a string of robberies in Brooklyn and Queens since last October.
According to authorities, three suspects between the ages of 25 and 30 years old are responsible for 17 robberies that targeted Hispanic men and women over the past five months. Police say the three men ring the doorbell of a house, and when the victims answer the door, they display a gun and force their way inside, steal whatever they can and flee in a silver or white minivan.
Police say the three suspects have robbed homes along DeKalb, Myrtle, Wycoff and Irving avenues. The most recent robbery occurred last Thursday near Bushwick Avenue and Harman Street. Authorities say, so far, two victims have been injured, but none seriously.
Police say the three men are Hispanic and wear black leather gloves. They ask that anyone with information about the suspects or the crimes please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
