Police are investigating after a man was found dead inside his apartment Sunday.

Officials say they found 33-year-old Sherod Watford unconscious at 4305 Avenue M.

They say he had what appeared to be stab wounds to the chest. 

Officials are waiting to hear from the medical examiner to determine whether the injury is criminal.
