Police say a 5-year-old boy in was killed in a hit-and-run in Queens.

Around 5 p.m. on Thursday, the boy was walking with his parents on 100th and Macintosh streets when he was struck by a white Dodge Ram pick-up truck.

The child sustained severe head and body injuries. He died after being rushed to a hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle remains on the run.
