Police say a 51-year-old woman is dead after she was shot in the head in Park Slope Wednesday.

They say the shooting happened just before 1 p.m. along Fourth Avenue.

According to officials, Nichelle Thomas was critically injured after being shot in the head and was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Citizen App video showed paramedics and emergency responders trying to save her at the scene.

Police say a woman dressed in all dark colors was seen running away from the incident.

Sources tell News 12 a 38-year-old woman surrendered herself Wednesday night at the 78th Precinct. No charges have been filed.
