Police: 65-year-old woman recovering from shooting near Flatbush Gardens

Sources believe the woman was not the intended target.
In April, a 17-year-old was shot and killed inside the same complex. This marks the second reported shooting near the complex in the past three months.
News 12 spoke with Darren Dixion, chief of staff at Elite Learners, who says they've been in contact with the victim and her family.
Dixion says the organization is a community group working as a crisis intervention system, who are holding a shooting response tomorrow evening. Dixion says members will be canvassing the area as the way to reassure community members.
Sources say the suspect fled in a black sedan.
