Authorities confirmed Thursday morning a 7-year-old child was fatally hit by an NYPD tow truck in Fort Greene.
According to police, the department truck was traveling on Myrtle Avenue around 7:50 a.m. The truck attempted to make a right turn at the intersection of Myrtle and North Portland avenues as a mother and her son were crossing the street.
