The NYPD released new information linked to a homicide that occurred back in September in the Bronx.
Police responded to 2507 Cruger Ave. for an assault call on Sept. 3 at around 6 a.m. When officers arrived, they found 65-year-old Kevin Madison lying on the sidewalk with trauma to his head. He was transported to NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi for treatment where he was pronounced dead on Nov. 24. The incident was deemed a homicide after Madison’s death.
In new information, police say the victim and the suspect lived in the building on Cruger Avenue. Madison was visiting a family member when Holmes came into the home and got into a fight with him. Police say Madison ran out onto a window ledge and Holmes kicked him, causing him to fall 20 feet to his death.
Meanwhile, in connection to the investigation, officers had arrested Kymasa Holmes, 33 of the Bronx, on Nov. 4 on attempted murder, assault and other charges.
