Police are asking the public's help in identifying the driver of a white four-door SUV they believe is responsible for an Aug. 29 hit-and-run that left a woman injured.
Investigators say the victim was struck as she was crossing the crosswalk at 82nd Street and Flatlands Avenue.
The woman was knocked unconscious as a result of the injury and suffered serious wounds to her body.
She was taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.
The NYPD 63rd Precinct is asking the public to be on the lookout for the vehicle, which is shown in surveillance footage to not have a front license plate.
