A Brooklyn man is among two people, including a Nassau County police officer, who were shot and killed by an ex-con on a deadly rampage Tuesday morning.
According to police, 52-year-old Raymond Facey, of East New York, was on the Cross Island Parkway when 33-year-old Darrell Fuller shot him in the head and stole his car.
Authorities say Fuller had first shot 29-year-old Emergency Services Unit officer Arthur Lopez, of Long Island, in the chest after a traffic stop near the Queens-Nassau County border.
Fuller eventually ditched Facey's car in Queens and was later found with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He is now in police custody at a hospital.
Neighbors describe Facey as a hard-working, kind man. He leaves behind a wife, four children and a baby grandchild.
