A dead dog was found inside a Hicksville home, according to police.
Police say officers responded to the home on Maple Place to check on a foul smell.
They say they discovered a dead dog inside a double-locked cage in the basement.
News 12 is told the dog's owner, Tiffany Adorno, only checked on it once after moving to Brooklyn in June.
She is set to face a judge today.
