Police have confirmed a body was pulled out of the water Sunday afternoon in Red Hook.

According to the NYPD, officers responded to a 911 call of an unconscious person near Van Brunt and Red Streets at about 1:45 p.m.

Officers found a man in the water and he was pronounced dead by EMS workers at the scene.

Police say an investigation is ongoing and the medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
