A driver crashed into a building in East New York early this morning, according to police.

A driver crashed into a building in East New York early this morning, according to police.
It happened near the intersection of Sutter Avenue and Pine Street around 3:30 a.m.
Police tell News 12 the driver somehow lost control and crashed into the side of a Caribbean restaurant.
The female driver was taken to the hospital, and News 12 is told she was not seriously hurt.
Officials say no one was seriously hurt inside the building, and the car has already been removed from the scene
A portion of the building suffered some damage.
Officials say the building does appear to be structurally sound.
It is up to the Department of Buildings to determine if the building is safe.
