A Brooklyn father has been placed under arrest for the killing of his infant child, according to the NYPD.

Donnie Reuben, 25, has been charged with the death of his 4-month-old infant.

Police say Men'Dece Reuben, the 4-month-old baby, was found unconscious inside an apartment at 712 Crown St. last Tuesday. He was taken to a hospital and died the day after Christmas.

A criminal complaint states that Reuben allegedly left the newborn on a bed lying face down on a pillow. It also alleges he went outside for about 30 minutes and when he returned to the apartment, the baby was on the floor with foam around his mouth and vomit on the bed.

Reuben is now facing multiple charges, including reckless assault on a child. Police say Reuben has no prior arrests or domestic incidents.

Officials say the child died from shaken baby syndrome.
