11h agoA man from Riverhead died in a fiery car crash Saturday afternoon.
Police say Derek Cruz, 27, veered his vehicle off the road on Osborn Avenue near Honey Lane in Riverhead. It struck trees, cause the vehicle to burst into flames.
He was rushed to Peconic Bay Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the Town of Riverhead Police Department.
