Police have released the name of the man who was fatally shot at the Bushwick Playground Thursday.
One person was fatally shot and two people were injured at the park on Knickerbocker Avenue and Madison Street around 6:30 p.m.
All of the victims were in their early-20s. Hamler DeJesus, 21, has been identified as the victim who died.
A witness told News 12 the incident started when the three victims got into an argument with two other people in the park. One of them then pulled out a gun and opened fire.
New video released Friday shows first responders carrying one of the victims on a stretcher out of the park and into the ambulance.
Two of the men were transported to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition while the 21-year-old man was transported to Wyckoff Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Other witnesses say they thought the gunshots were fireworks until he saw hundreds of people running. They say they are outraged that someone could do something so reckless in a park full of people and children.
Frequent parkgoers tell News 12 that the playground would normally be packed on a Friday night, but only about a dozen people were seen walking near the park.
Police say they are searching for two suspects in connection to the shooting.
No arrests have been made.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
