Police are investigating the death of a 5-year-old girl they say was raped and strangled with a jump rope.Officials say Monique Fulgham was found unconscious in her family's Bivona Street home Sunday. A Daily News report claims the girl was found hanging from a closet door by her grandmother. The report says police were suspicious because of inconsistencies in testimony from the girl's mother and grandmother about who had access to the apartment.The girl was taken to a Bronx hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Police say there are no suspects yet in the child's death.
