A second man has been arrested in connection to three deadly shootings that happened within minutes in Clinton Hill, police say.
According to authorities, 23-year-old Elijah Mitchell is now charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon. Police say Mitchell was in the getaway car the night of Sunday, July 21 when a man was fatally shot inside of Steuben playground.
The parks department says Mitchell worked as a seasonal employee at that location.
More shots were fired in front of a migrant shelter on Ryerson Street hitting two people and killing both. Mitchell was suspended from his parks job on Tuesday and the agency is moving to terminate his employment.
A 26-year-old is also facing charges, officials say.
