A man attempted to grab an officer's handgun inside a Brooklyn precinct and admitted a desire to kill law enforcement officers, police say.
Kurdel Emmanual was arrested for attempting to take an officer's gun while inside a precinct Sunday.
During Emmanual's interrogation, police say he admitted to wanting to kill a police officer.
On Sunday, the Brooklyn District Attorney's office recommended setting Emmanual's bail for $250,000, however a judge released him on his on recognizance, drawing negative reactions.
"The elected officials of the city have chosen to fail you," says Ed Mullins, president of the Sergeants Benevolent Association, in response to the release. "They are no doubt not supporting the members of law enforcement."
