Police have charged a man for assaulting a 3-year-old boy -- the same 3-year-old that police say died after being dropped off bruised and unconscious at SUNY Downstate on Sunday.
It is not confirmed if 38-year-old Robert White is directly connected to 3-year-old Kyng Davis's death.
White is charged with felony assault, endangering the welfare of a child and other charges for an incident that took place Feb. 22.
That incident, court documents show, was reported by White's cousin.
News 12 is still waiting for the medical examiner to confirm the child's cause of death.
