fatally shot in Canarsie, police say.
Irvin Monroe, 32, of Brooklyn was shot in the torso multiple times by two men
on the corner of East 79th Street and Ralph Avenue.
The victim was taken to the Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A car also crashed in
the area near the shooting, but it’s unclear if it is connected to the
incident.
The shooting
comes as city data shows victims are up 13.4% in 2021 from 2020.
The suspects
are on the loose.
