It was a scary scene for some Crown Heights residents Tuesday after multiple calls were made about a man on top of a roof with a gun, according to police.
Police say the man was on top of 19 Grant Square around 11 a.m.

Witnesses described seeing the man dressed in all black with what appeared to be a gun or rifle pointing below. Police say they made it up to the roof and managed to arrest the man.
Residents say they're glad police were on the scene so quickly. "They seemed very focused, like what they were trained to do, totally on point. There was a police sniper on the roof. I felt better because of that because obviously it's like protecting," a resident told News 12.

The NYPD Aviation Unit says the man only had an airsoft rifle and was safely taken into custody.
