Police say a man has died after being shot in the head around 5 a.m. Saturday outside of a smoke shop at 1556 White Plains Rd. in Parkchester.

Police are actively photographing and gathering evidence at the scene where a car was left with bullet holes in its side panels and driver’s side door.

They say when they arrived, they found a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound in the head.

Police say he was transported to New York Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim's identity has not been released. No arrests have been made.
