A man is accused of stealing a disabled woman's motorized wheelchair in Brooklyn and using it to get away.
It happened on Saturday at 3:37 p.m. on 86th Street and West 12th Street in Gravesend.
Police say the man approached the woman's wheelchair, which was empty at the time and then took off with it. The woman was inside a realtors office at the time.
The 36-year-old woman relies on the wheelchair, police say, because she has multiple scoliosis. Wheelchairs like the one stolen cost between $2,000 to $3,000.
A surveillance image shows the man using the wheelchair to get away.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577TIPS.
