NYPD seeks public's help identifying Brooklyn rape suspect

Police say the man goes by the name “Todd” and that the female victim was seen walking inside Monument Walk around 11:30 p.m. Once inside, police say the suspect made sexual advances which the woman declined.

The NYPD says they are looking for help finding a man connected to a rape that occurred on April 21.
Police say the man goes by the name “Todd” and that the female victim was seen walking inside Monument Walk around 11:30 p.m. Once inside, police say the suspect made sexual advances which the woman declined.
Police tell News 12 he placed the woman in a chokehold until she was unconscious and proceeded to rape her. He also stole $600 in cash and her cellphone before leaving the scene.
The victim suffered bruises and scratches on her neck. She was treated at Interfaith Medical Center and is in stable condition.
Police are urging the public to call the crime stoppers hotline at 1-800-577 TIPS with any information about the suspect’s whereabouts.
