Authorities say a police officer shot an armed suspect in the chin Tuesday afternoon in Brownsville.
According to police, the shooting happened at East 94th and Winthrop streets after the 18-year-old suspect, who was attempting to evade officers, pointed a .357 Magnum at them.
The suspect was taken to Brookdale University Hospital in critical condition.
