Police have released new surveillance video in hopes of capturing a man wanted for groping a woman through a window and trying to climb into bed with her.
The incident happened back on May 12. Police say the suspect broke into a young woman's apartment through an open window on Clarkson and Rogers avenues.
News 12 is told the suspect crept onto a second floor rooftop and once inside, he groped the 21-year-old, who was asleep.
When she woke up, he told her he was a police officer and asked to get in bed with her. The woman then screamed and the suspect fled.
No injuries were reported, but people in the area are still on edge.
"It is really scary, I am nervous," said Whitney Morris, of Prospect-Lefferts Gardens. "I hope they catch him and my window is going to stay closed."
Anyone who recognizes the suspect in the video is being asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
