Death of 40-year-old woman found in Bensonhurst apartment ruled homicide

Police are searching for a woman wanted in connection for an assault in Sheepshead Bay.

The incident happened at a store on Avenue U in February.

The woman is accused of walking up to a 53-year-old woman and arguing with her. Things turned violent and the victim was slapped before an unknown object was thrown at her face.

News 12 has been told the victim had pain and bruising to her face and was taken to the hospital.
