The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office responded to an emergency call for help Sunday to break up an escalating fight among emergency responders in Kerhonkson.
Authorities say the brawl happened around 4:30 p.m. at the Kerhonkson-Accord First Aid Squad between the emergency medical service agency’s president, David Linscott, and vice president, William Beesimer.
The sheriff’s office says there were conflicting reports of a weapon involved but that an investigation found no weapons were used during the altercation.
Authorities say the men were fighting about a member’s suspension and that the officials involved declined to press charges.
The level of conduct rose to harassment, a violation, according to the sheriff’s office.
News 12 reached out to the Kerhonkson-Accord First Aid Squad for comment but hasn’t heard back.
