Police are investigating a home invasion in Sunset Park that took place just before the squall hit Brooklyn.
Police spent hours looking for clues that might lead them to two men dressed in reflective vests Wednesday night. They say they look similar to the vests that construction workers wear.
A flashlight was used by police along a window of a building on 58th Street. This is where officials tell News 12 the two men broke in.
The invasion happened just before 4 p.m. Officers say two men burst into a building on a floor where the landlord had split up the area into multiple smaller rooms.
News 12 is told that a 69-year-old woman lives in the unit that was targeted by the suspects. Once the two men got in, police say the woman refused to give in and resisted them by biting one of the suspect's hands.
After the fight, police say the two men ran into at least one other room before taking off. The victim was taken to the hospital with two missing teeth.
Police say it is not clear what those two men took, if anything. Thankfully, they say the victim is in stable condition.
