Police search for suspect in carjacking in the Bronx

They say the suspect got boxed in traffic on the Cross Bronx Expressway and later ditched the car, jumping the fence and fleeing near Rodman Avenue.

Police say they are searching for a suspect in a carjacking in the Bronx that happened Tuesday night. 
Police say they tracked the car using the victim’s phone. 
They say the suspect got boxed in traffic on the Cross Bronx Expressway and later ditched the car, jumping the fence and fleeing near Rodman Avenue. 
Officers and K-9 units were on the ground and seen looking into cars on the side streets and going into a nearby building. 
A helicopter was also seen searching for the suspect with a spotlight. 
Police also entered a deli to search for surveillance of the suspect. They are believed to be focusing on a time frame of approximately 5:30 p.m. at this time.
