Police are searching for a man who they say robbed a convenience store on Stanley Avenue in East New York at around 5 a.m. Saturday.
When the store clerk tried to hold the door closed to keep the suspect inside, he fired a shot at the clerk and ended up hitting a 47-year-old man who was walking across the street. The man who was shot is expected to be OK.
Police say the suspect is around 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 270 pounds.
